New entrepreneurial visa scheme
A revamp of the scheme is touted by the government as encouraging innovation and jobs
As has been highlighted by us before, the Entrepreneurship visa scheme that attempted to entice migrants willing to ‘have a go’ at starting a new business in Australia was not entirely successful.
The requirement to have $200,000 in funding was a big sticking point for many.
Thankfully, it appears the Home Affairs department has listened to the many who put in submissions and has decided to revamp the scheme for 2019.
The funding requirement will be removed and the English language requirement will be lowered.
This visa will be a temporary one but can lead to permanent residency. We will keep you posted as we are very excited about the opportunities for this visa! MARN 1387008 : Click here for an article on the upcoming changes
