South Australia is letting 300 international students into the state as a pilot program to test whether a return of international students nationally could be managed.

The students will undergo mandatory hotel quarantine for 2 weeks on arrival into Australia.

According to the Department of Home Affairs, overseas student visa applications have plunged by more than 30 per cent, meaning right now could be the best time to apply for an Australian visa.
